One side of the bone breaks, but the other side only bend. It is very similar to what would happen if you were to bend a wet stick. 3. Example of a Greenstick Fracture 4. Comminuted Fracture A Comminuted Fracture is a fracture in which the bone is broken into several pieces. It can appear shattered, splintered, or crushed. 5. Example of a Comminuted Fracture 6. Spiral Fracture A Spiral Fracture is a fracture that is usually caused by a twisting of the bone. The fracture line appears as a spiral around the shaft of the bone. This type of fracture usually takes a longer time to heal than other types. 7. Example of a Spiral Fracture 8. Bibliography "Forearm Fractures." Web log post. Www.kidsfracture.com. N.p., 2011.
