Working for Justice

America has a tradition of working hard for freedom and fairness. Years ago, women in our country were not allowed to vote. Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony knew that this was not fair. Anthony talked to lawmakers in Congress. Stanton and Anthony wrote a newspaper. They led marches. They worked hard for a new law that allowed women to vote. Today, all citizens over the age of 18 can vote. Our country became fairer because of these women.
