Working for Justice

America has a tradition of working hard for freedom and fairness. Years ago, women in our country were not allowed to vote. Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony knew that this was not fair. Rosa Parks was a leader for justice. One unfair law said that black people had to give up their seats to white people on buses. Parks would not give up her seat to a white person. Police took her to jail.
