Some of my FREE favorites: http://www.commonsensemedia.org/digital-citizenship http://digiteen.ning.com/ http://digitalcitizenshiped.com/Curriculum.aspx http://cybersmartcurriculum.org/ 10. Beginning the Discussion Formalized, embedded instruction is best. Some schools have a Digital Citizenship class students must all pass in order to graduate In addition, every teacher must reinforce the skills learned in every class (If its ok to cheat and steal in Mr. Samples room, then its ok to cheat and steal anywhere.) 11. Parental Instruction Also essential! Moms and Dads dont know what to look for Most dont know about or understand the tools their children use: Texting and smart phones Facebook and AIM Skype and tools-yet-to-be-invented 12.
