• Designed to give students an opportunity to respond to situations

• Opportunities to learn from mistakes • Disciplinary sanctions can range from

warnings to separation from school, plus educational requirements

• University process is separate from any legal process that may also occur

Events each year have the potential to affect

significantly the safety and well-being of students,

faculty, and staff at Purdue University. In case of an

emergency use the yellow Emergency Telephone

System (ETS) call boxes located across campus.

SIRENS AND ALARMS: • All Hazards Emergency Warning Sirens mean to immediately

seek shelter in a safe location within closest facility/building. • Fire Alarms mean to immediately evacuate the building and

proceed to your Emergency Assembly Area. • EMAIL: An e-mail can be sent to all people with a purdue.edu

address. • TEXT MESSAGING: Purdue University faculty, staff and students

may sign up to receive an emergency notification text message. • WEB: The Purdue home page (www.purdue.edu) • RESIDENCE HALLS: has procedures for alerting people in
