Where are we?
Workforce Development is a work stream in the Children and Young people’s Plan
Part of LSCB Part of Chamber of Commerce Part of Voluntary Sector Forum Part of East Anglia HEI partnership
What do we want in Norfolk?
A competent, confident and safe workforce A workforce people desire to be part of A well led and managed workforce A workforce service users trust
How are we doing this?
Competent– Audit our job descriptions – Audit our service on qualifications– Offer qualifications – level 2 – PHD– Rewrite jds to reflect in appraisals– 360 feedback– Warner and safer recruitment– Working in partnership– Strength based
How are we doing this?
Capable– Roll out programme concerning solution focus,
strength based programme– Wellbeing – restorative approaches– Performance management– Safer recruitment– Values, competencies– Sharing best practice
How are we doing this?
Safe– Working in collaboration with LSCB– Safer recruitment and Warner interviews– Service users and empowerment– Concept and perception of safe– Contracts and commitment statements– Systems that share knowledge
How are we doing this?
Well led and managed– New standards of Investors in People– Influenced the University of east Anglia to work in
partnership to create a Master’s degree in leadership and management of the social, educational and health sector
– Corporate leadership programme– Master classes– Sharing management responsibilities
What does this mean?
We know what we want and we have to influence providers such as HEI’s to develop learning solutions for our future workers
Create traineeships/apprenticeships for young people to gain a profession in Norfolk
Work in partnership with training schools Integrated qualification framework -

children’s workforce not just social care Evidence based Quality assured
