1) Only few places left: Register now for the Summer School!
Nearly every day, several persons register for the 3rd International Summer School on Social Banking "Banking on values ‐ what values?", taking place from 18 to 23 July 2010 in Flor‐ence, Italy. Amongst the speakers from Aca‐demia and Practice are Dr. Ulrich Thielemann, Vice‐Director Institute for Business Ethics at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), Ugo Biggeri, co‐founder of Banca Etica (Italy) and host of the Summer School 2010, and Andreas Neukirch, member of the Board of GLS Bank (Germany).

2) First Bachelor‐module in "Social Banking" worldwide
Dr. Sven Remer (Institute for Social Banking, ISB) has developed the first bachelor course on "Social Banking" worldwide for the Busi‐ness Administration career at the Alanus Uni‐versity of Arts and Social Sciences, Germany. Guest speakers are amongst others Peter Blom, CEO Triodos Bank, and Mirjam Fochler, co‐founder of the alternative currency Chiem‐gauer and mentee student at the ISB.

3) New students in the M.A. Social Banking and Social Finance
We are happy to welcome four new students in our Masters Programme, starting in April 2010. At the study meeting from 21 to 24 April 2010, the students will amongst other topics get an introduction to the method of Action Research, led by Chris Seeley (Ashridge Busi‐ness School, UK).

4) ISB Paper Series No. 4 ‐ effec‐tiveness of sustainability lending criteria
In the current edition of the ISB Paper Series, the author, Rosl Veltmeijer‐Smits, analyses how effective the sustainability lending crite‐ria are, for the every day work of account managers in her Social Bank.

2) Lernen Sie alternative Manage‐mentkonzepte kennen!

3) Weltweit erstes Bachelor‐Modul “Social Banking”
Dr. Sven Remer (Institute for Social Banking, ISB) hat für den Bachelor in Betriebswirt‐schaftslehre an der Alanushochschule für Kunst und Gesellschaft das weltweit erste Bachelor‐Modul "Social Banking" entwickelt. GastreferentInnen sind u.a. Peter Blom, CEO Triodos Bank, und Mirjam Fochler, Mitgründe‐rin der Alternativwährung Chiemgauer und Mentorstudentin am ISB.

4) Neue StudentInnen des M.A. So‐cial Banking and Social Finance
Im Sommersemester 2010 heißen wir vier neue StudentInnen im Masters Social Banking and Social Finance willkommen. Die Studie‐renden werden neben Management‐Themen (s. Punkt 2) auch eine Einführung in die Me‐thode der Aktionsforschung erhalten, geleitet von Chris Seeley (Ashridge Business School, England).

5) ISB Paper Series Nr. 4 ‐ Effektivi‐tät von Nachhaltigkeitskriterien für die Kreditvergabe
Im aktuellen Papier der "ISB Paper Series", analysiert die Autorin Rosl Veltmeijer‐Smits, wie effektiv die Nachhaltigkeitskriterien bei der Kreditvergabe in der Sozialen Bank ange‐wendet werden, in der sie arbeitet.
