DESCRIPTION

Not On My Nickel (http://notonmynickel.com) is the first independent retirement investment research and education service designed to shift the current retirement investment distribution model from one of dependency to one of engagement. Not On My Nickel is an easy to use, education and research service for Employers to offer their employees in conjunction with their 401k Brokerage Window. It may also be used by small Simple IRA plans or individual investors that roll their 401k’s over to IRA’s. The new service addresses three flaws in the current delivery of services to retirement investors: First, it eliminates the high assets-under-management fees paid to financial advisors who deliver little to no additional value. Second, it eliminates the dependency on conflicted advice from stockbrokers/financial advisors offering proprietary product. Third, it provides an immediate alternative to the high-fee, poorly performing mutual funds in 401(k) plans. Not On My Nickel is available immediately to work with employers to provide this new service to their employees. Upcoming lunch hour Twitter Chats will be available for one-on-one assistance and consulting, upon request. The service also provides one-one-employee consulting services with an independent financial services professional with over 30 years diversified experience in asset management and global capital markets. It is the first retirement service designed to actively engage employees to take control of their retirement nest egg, through straight forward, easy to understand tools. It is the first service to provide direct access for employees to the very few select active portfolio managers that have out-performed their relevant index for decades, at a reasonable and fair fee, while at the same time eliminating conflicted high intermediary advisor fees. It clears up the employees expressed confusion, provides clarity and transparency, and eliminates the noise created by 1,000’s of poorly performing mutual fund choices, in one simple to use independent, non-conflicted service.

America’s retirement system desperately needs an overhaul to spare workers’ retirement savings from high fees, an unhealthy advisory dependence and poorly performing investments.

Advice to employees in 401(k) plans is conflicted and fees are hidden from employee investors (advice fees should NEVER be embedded in 401(k) plans!)

FACT

LOOK

America’s retirement system desperately needs an overhaul to spare workers’ retirement savings from high fees, an unhealthy advisory dependence and poorly performing investments.

Employees are taught through media, advertising and FINRA education to rely on an “expert” advisor. Because of this reliance they never learn how to invest directly, which prevents them from becoming engaged.

LOOK

America’s retirement system desperately needs an overhaul to spare workers’ retirement savings from high fees, an unhealthy advisory dependence and poorly performing investments.

Recent academic studies show Modern Portfolio Theory may be harming returns due to unnecessary portfolio rebalancing, which drives up trading costs – which drives up hidden fees!
