This is an institution that distribute music magazines for the hip-hop and R&B genre so I think my ‘notorious’ music magazine would fit in with the existing music magazines that this institution will distribute

‘Harris publication inc.’ is an institution that published a few media products, specifically music magazines of the Hip-Hop and R&B genre. The magazines that this institution published and distributes are similar to my music magazine by the use of conventions and the genre of music the magazines promote.

The XXL music magazine appeals to people that like Hip-Hop and R&B music. This magazine is bought not by a specific gene like it used to the interest of this genre of magazine has grabbed more attention from a larger audience. But many features of my music magazine is similar to the way XXL promote themselves

Harris publication focus on the genre of hip-hop and R&B music. Trying to make their music magazine appeal to urban societies and mostly a male audience Is mostly their target audience. Hence the use of sex appeal and well known artists that can represent the genre of music.

-Quincy jones was the founder of XXL magazine. He promoted the R&B and Hip-Hop genre of music in a better way then many other institutions for music magazines. Quincy Jones launched Vibe in 1993, in partnership with Time Inc.

-Vibe magazine isn't published as often as it was before now it is mostly just online subscription at which they have the website that people can go on to read the magazine. The website is more easy and convenient as technology is more commonly used for media.

-Similar to other brands of music magazine, the website and subscription has become a much more important way to promote their product to the audience.

Music magazines are not being published and distributed as often as before due to the brand’s websites that make the contents of a magazine more easy to access. It is also cheaper to subscribe to the website then to buy t magazine so it has been made more convenient for Hip-Hop and R&B to be promoted with the use of the internet.

For m music magazine a website and subscription page would be a good feature to have to make my music magazine more popular. People will be able to connect with my music magazine though Facebook and twitter.
