• Set up in 2009 on the basis of an agreement between Brussels and Wallonia

• 1 “mixed” film -fund : Wallimage-Bruxellimage• Investment budget : € 2 M a year + € 1 M a year for TV series• Long feature, TV series, animated film, documentary feature film• The goal is to create a structuring effect on audio-visual industry • Some recent productions

• Selective scheme on the basis of 5 main criteria:• The cultural nature of the project (at least 4 on 10 criteria)• The structuring effect on the audiovisual sector in Brussels ad Wallonia• The viability of the project and the return on investment for the fund• The credibility of the producer and his team• The available budget

• 3 sessions a year (see detailed agenda on www.bruxellimage.be)

• January• April• September

• The project has to be submitted in French or in Flemish* (*1 month before the deadline)

• But the film itself can be in any other language (need however 1 version dubbed and/or subtitled)

• Who can apply• A private production company established in Belgium (no ASBL/VZW) • Need to have a share on the copyright of the project

• You must already have at least 30% of the total funding for the project

• You can ask for an investment of 300,000 € max• 60% in co-production giving a pro-rata access to the revenue (equity)• 40 % as a loan

BUT possibility to reduce the loan proportion by increasing the regional expenditure

• + 5% expenditure = - 1% loan > 300 % reinvestment = 100 % equity

• You must spend • at least 100,000 € in Brussels and 100,000 € in Wallonia (37,500 € for a documentary feature film)

• only audio-visuals expenses are eligible (hotels, transports, financials and overhead costs .. are excluded)

• 50 % has to be spent in Brussels and 50 % in Wallonia (maximum gap of 15% between the 2 Regions)• It’s the fiscal address of the company / professional who matters

• 50 % of our investment is paid when the convention is signed• With detailed cost estimates from suppliers as proof

• 30 % after justification of 60 % of the expenses

• 20 % after justification of the last 40 % of expenses • Justifications must be presented at last 6 months after the copy 0

Since Brussels and Walloon euros are (still) the same as Belgian euros,

and since Wallimage Bruxellimage is not working on a tax-scheme,

you can stack Tax-Shelter’s & Wallimage Bruxellimage’s expenditures

Belgian Euro Brussels or Walloon Euro

Can you see the difference between those two Euros ?
