All Outfits- Antonia Woods
Final 4 Images
This is the image I have chosen for my fashion spread, it
shows the models outfit very clearly as the model is sharply
in focus. The background of the image is out of focus so we
can clearly see depth of field in the image, the model is
making direct address with the audience clearly, this
makes the audience feel more involved. The way she is
propped up on the railing is very interesting and brings in
the use of the environment in the photograph. The
environment goes well with my theme of gender reversal
because the place she is
in is somewhere the
opposite gender could
possibly hang out.
This is the image I have chosen for my photo-shoot, the
model is sharply in focus so the audience can clearly see
the whole outfit. The jacket of the model is pushed to the
back so we can clearly see her top & over shirt, which is
the whole outfit. The model will be cropped out of the
image so that it is portrait. The colours of the image are
mainly on the model, so that she is the first thing that
attracts our attention. The background is rather grey and
blends together which doesn’t take our attention away from
the main point of the
image. The model in this
image isn’t making direct
address with the audience
which makes her seem
more dominant in the
image. This is a good
feature.
I have chosen this image because of how interesting
technically the image actually is. Firstly, the camera shot
size is a canted low angle. This is a very difficult camera
shot to execute but I believe I did it well. The low angle
gives the model dominance & the direct address works well
in this image. The canted angle works because the model is
leaning back and the camera makes it appear as if we are
leaning with her. This shot angle also shows more of the
models outfit, which is important as the purpose of the
image is for it to be a
fashion shoot. The model
also has the cardigan open
in this image so we can see
the grey shirt underneath,
the beanie hat compliments
this shirt, making the outfit
look good.
I have chosen this image as it is the most interesting out of
my photo-shoot. The angle used is an over the shoulder but
the model is making direct address with the audience. The
model is not centred in this photograph but she is sharply
in focus so she is the first thing we look at. The rest of the
image is clearly out of focus, showing depth of field as we
go down the ramp. The whole outfit of the model including
the shoes can be seen in this shot, this is very important as
it is a fashion shoot for clothes, so the audience needs to
see the clothes primarily.
The colour red stands out
predominantly in this image,
it is very important as it
makes it so we look at this
first, the audience will do
this because the rest of
the image is neutral colours.
