The room is silent but brightly lit,DAVID sits at the table
eating quietly with a newspaper open in front of his plate.
The room remains silent until ADAM enters through the door.
ADAM enters through the door

Sophie i thought we we’re heading
back to mine, don’t worry my
parents are out.
DAVID looks up from his newspaper
DAVID
(Angry)
Excuse me? You must be Adam, why
don’t you have a sit down just
here.
ADAM
(Agitated)
Okay, just here?
DAVID
Yes, just there is fine.
ADAM sits down opposite DAVID. DAVID folds up his newspaper
and continues to eat.
DAVID
So what are you two planning to get
up to? you seemed to like the fact
that you will be alone.
ADAM
Sir we just want to be able to talk
and watch TV without interference.
DAVID
(Sarcastically)
Oh yeah I’m sure that is what you
want isn’t it?
ADAM
Sir I’m sorry if you think I have
other intentions

DAVID
Don’t worry son just remember this
chat and remember that she is my
daughter, and I will not tolerate
you mistreating her.
ADAM

Just get out , Sophie is in the
garage.
