In order to use the desktop version of QuickBooks easily, you might be looking at various shortcuts in your keyboard.

Here are some important and useful shortcuts:

Ctrl-Del : Deletes the selected line

Ctrl-Ins : Insert a blank detail line

Ctrl-N : Create a new list item or transaction

Ctrl-D : Delete the current list item or transaction

Ctrl-E : Edit an item

Ctrl-O : To copy the check

F5 : To Refresh List
