Offering outskirts to UAE toward the north, Yemen to its south-west and Saudi Arabia to its west Oman has a long coast line of 1700 kilometres towering three oceans: Gulf of Oman, Arabian Sea and Persian ocean. Oman has key favourable position of having this long coastline that is a key centre point for some advanced nations to carry out many business related activities. This area advantage that has tremendous access to the water body which is most likely helpful for Oman in conveying world exchange exercises and having monetary relations with the rest of the world. But unfortunately, in spite of having such a business favourable location Oman was not involved in carrying out economic activities with the rest of the countries. Due to the lack of use of its centrally located position Oman did not prosper much as it should have been when compared to other developed countries.

Oil reserves were explored in the country and then it was the time for to bank of this naturally found resource. So the activities related to the oil and gas sector were on the rise and Oman started banking on it. But apart from other Oil and Gas sector Oman still lacked substantially in other sectors which is certainly not a favourable side for any economy. The second a large portion of the decade watched some significant changes in the Oman's economy when Sultan Qaboos consented the throne of his dad and conveyed some real changes in the policies of Oman by setting up cutting edge administration under the standards of Oman Sultanate. He changed the arrangements of the nation and opened the Oman's economy to whatever remains of the world. That is when things began to change and the other countries point of view of about Oman changed.

That is when numerous enormous big business big shots and small entrepreneurs searching for extension of their business domain explored Oman and set up their business in the nation.
