To Whom It May Concern:

I am an individual that possesses determination, creativity and resourcefulness. I am looking to obtain a position as part of an internship program this coming Summer 2017. This opportunity would allow me to gain experience as I complete my undergraduate education. This would also allow me to utilize and further developing my natural leadership abilities and learn, firsthand, key practices in the financial industry.

I am currently majoring in Economics as well as earning minors in both Accounting and Mathematics. My expected graduation will be in Spring 2018 from the University of Idaho. Until then, I am looking to gain experience, within the financial industry, that will be applicable in my future. This would not only allow me to build a foundation within a company like yours, but it would also enhance my studies. Upon completion of my degree, I then can potentially become a valuable asset to your team.

My education thus far has given me knowledge of concepts in economics, which includes both micro- and macro-economics, as well as financial management. Additionally, my minors allow me to be familiar with the practices of financial and managerial accounting, linear algebra, differential equations, calculus topics, and statistical analyses. I have a strong work ethic and strive to not only meet but exceed expectations. My experiences have taught me to thoroughly pay attention to detail while also recognizing the importance of time management.

I am an outgoing person and get along well with others.

I love to take on new challenges, and I am not afraid to ask questions. I am very detailed oriented, but am also skilled at viewing the big picture as a whole. I adapt well and am a quick learner.

With my education, and my willingness to learn, I believe I would make a great addition to your team. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Sincerely,

Makayla Rodgers
