Robert “Bob” Cook helps corporate real estate departments make planning decisions requiring sophisticated financial analysis. His specialty is the fine-tuning of strategies and initiatives to meet corporate financial goals and the presentation of these to stakeholders to gain buy-in He is able to work across disciplines by drawing upon four areas of experience:
• strategic and financial planning within the corporate real estate departments of multinational companies: Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Northrop Grumman and JDSU
• real estate development, finance and brokerage with Rubloff (now part of CBRE) where he initiated and managed development of $500 M of office projects
• Asian work experience gained living/working in Singapore for five years where he was a Senior Fellow at the School of Real Estate and Building of the National University of Singapore and by guiding portfolio planning in Asia for both Cisco and Sun Microsystems
• architecture and urban planning, early in his career, with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and the City of Chicago's Department of Development. & Planning.
Bob holds both a Masters of Management (Finance) from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Masters of Architecture in Urban Design from Rice University. He also has a California Real Estate Broker License and a dormant Illinois Architect License. He has been on the faculty of CorenetGlobal where he has taught both Performance Management and Disposition Strategies. He also has written for professional journals and is the author of Leasing Office Space You Can Afford (McGraw-Hill).
Bob lives in Santa Clara CA with his wife, two kids and a dog.
