SUMMARY OF SERVICES
As active members in local
communities Zero ASBESTOS
also proudly accept ACM
(Asbestos Containing Material)
waste when able from all sorts
of local businesses and services
including the QLD Fire Services,
State Emergency Services, etc
FREE of charge*
As a business associated with such a volatile and harmful mineral it is important to
acknowledge the pain and suffering the mass production of this material has caused. Asbestos
related diseases are not a "problem of the past" in fact the rates of terminal illness related to
asbestos exposure in Australia are continuing to rise, due largely to lack of education and a
common DIY attitude. As a result we are proud to be advocates of asbestos disease awareness
and support (via paid memberships) to the following societies/foundations:
In addition to supporting these worthy causes we regularly alert our potential customers to the
very real dangers of asbestos exposure through awareness campaigns in all of our marketing
collateral including regular social media posts, website updates, press releases, radio reads,
print advertisements and direct mail campaigns. We are ambassadors for National Asbestos
Awareness month in Australia (November) annually.
In addition to campaigns and electronic and print materials being distributed on a regular basis
Zero ASBESTOS regularly donate time and money to closely related events and causes. See
below two photographs of local events we have supported in recent years.
1 > WHSQ (Workplace Health & Safety QLD) "Safe Work Month" Sponsorship - Big Breakfast in
King George Square (Brisbane) with guest MC Shane Webcke.
2 > "Walk for Asbestos Awareness". Supporting Trevor Gillmeister in Mooloolaba shortly before
the end of his 1400km walk from Townsville to Brisbane.
