WORKSHOP SERIES FOR CEU TEACHING ASSISTANTS
This new initiative of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is designed for
those doctoral students who are doing their teaching assistantship this academic
year.
The workshop series aims to prepare and support teaching assistants during their
teaching assistantships. Participants will engage in planning teaching sessions
and designing learning activities that are student-centered, meaningful and
feasible.
Workshop 1: Planning your Teaching Session October 10, 1:30-3:10, N13 613
Workshop 2: Learning from Peer Experience TBC (November - in agreement with participants)
Workshop 3: Debrief and Reflection TBC (December - in agreement with participants)
In this workshop series YOU will have an opportunity to:
• Design your TA session(s) with the support of CTL Faculty
• Learn from the experiences of your peers
• Get individualized feedback on your plans and actual teaching from CTL
Faculty
Requirements:
• Doing the teaching assistantship in AY 2018/2019
• Being able to attend the first session (October 10)
