Woodfibre LNG – “No” Proponent Project Information Package
Sukanto Tanoto:
“critics, including Greenpeace, call Tanoto “Indonesia’s
lead driver of rainforest destruction.” His companies and
contractors, they say, routinely violate local laws and
illegally expand palm and pulp and paper production
into rainforests, national parks and community lands.”
Byng Giraud– Woodfibre LNG – Vice President
“Giraud was vice-president corporate affairs for
Imperial Metals, owner of the Mount Polley
mine which, in 2014, caused massive destruction
in Quesnel Lake, Polley Lake, Hazeltine Creek and
Cariboo Creek, the entire Quesnel and Cariboo
river systems right up to the Fraser River.”

Squamish Nation
Clearly a lack in the “Duty
to Consult” from ALL 3
levels of Government.
Squamish Nation
1. “Duty to Consult”- There was a lack of consultation from any level of Government and ALL 4165 registered members of the Squamish Nation.
2. “Meaningful Consultation” with ALL its 4165 registered members was lacking, and needs to be addressed in a reasonable way.
3. Squamish Nation Leadership “failed” to provide relevant project information and a membership vote for ALL of it’s SN registered members who are eligible to “Vote” and have a say!

Squamish Nation
How can only a Quorum 13 Squamish Nation Members without a mandate vote for a project like “Woodfibre LNG & Fortis BC” for the future of ALL 4165 Squamish Nation Members?
2 SN Council members were ABSENT yet still got to vote YES for a total of 13!
