Operating system
Function The operating system is contained in every CPU and
organizes all CPU functions andsequences that are not associated
with a specific control task.The tasks of the operating system, for
example, include the following: Processing a warm restart Updating
the process image of the inputs and outputs Calling the user
program Detecting interrupts and calling interrupt OBs Detecting
and handling errors Managing memory areasThe operating system is a
component of the CPU and is already installed there upon
delivery.
