If you know Paul and Sara, you
know that they already have a child.
If you’re lucky she’ll be pelting you
with flower petals.
What you might not know is that
should this couple have another

(hopefully) beautiful ceremony is a reception all are
welcome to attend. There will be a selection of
foods to snack on. Most likely enough to get full from
but it is far from formal.
In addition to the brats, boiled peanuts and brownies,
attendees are welcome imbibe beverages ranging
from beer and wine to juice and coffee. And what
kind of a reception would it be without water? That’s
right you can drink water, but its best to get it from
the tap and not the stream you hear running nearby.
This will be a rather traditional service, there are
some parts where attendees are invited to sing, as denoted on page 2. Hopefully nothing is too tedious
and efforts have been made to make this as easygoing
as possible.
Most importantly, Paul and Sara would like to thank
you as well as all the participants for being a part of
their life and sharing in this day. Hopefully this
collectible wedding program keeps you entertained as you wait for the festivities to begin.
If you have gotten this far and have more questions
than answers, take a look at the picture to ensure
that you are at the right place.

International Wedding Traditions (France)
Chiverie is an after-wedding tradition in friends and family of the newly married couple gather in the evening and clang pots and pans, ring bells and blow horns with the intent of startling and interrupting the couple.
Upon hearing the noise, the newlyweds come out, still in their matrimonial attire and provide the tormentors with refreshments.
International Wedding Traditions (India)
Weddings here tend to be multi-day affairs involving many elaborate ceremonies, such as Mehndi, the practice of paint-ing intricate patterns on the bride’s extremities. The pur-pose of this is to make the bride feel like a princess as she begins her new life.
International Wedding Traditions (Middle East) A Persian tradition is the Sofreh-ye Aghd, a luxurious spread (cashmere, satin or silk) traditionally passed from mother to daugh-ter. On this spread is placed a mirror and two candelabras representing light and fire. It is at this mirror that the bride removes a veil cov-ering her face and the groom is able to see the reflection of his wife-to-be. In addition a tray of seven herbs and spices are placed on the spread: poppy seeds, wild rice, angelica, salt, nigella seeds, black tea and frankincense. Their intent is to protect the couple against evil eye, witchcraft and drive away evil spirits.

did it.
Unbeknownst to his girlfriend of 4 years, he invited many of their friends for what they
thought was a surprise birthday party at
Madison’s Ale Asylum… 2 months in
advance. Oddly enough, it didn’t seem that
odd.
In order to avoid any skullduggery, invitees
were asked to not bring any gifts. Sara
Quinnette, the supposed birthday girl was given a few trinkets from Whitley to
commemorate the occasion, all the while
clueless the surprise that lay in store.
It wasn’t until moments before the future
fiancé found out that guests were allowed to
a read a sign that explained that they were all
victims of a prank and the actual reason for the shin dig.
“Oh, I get it now,” one attendee was heard
saying. “I guess we should have known

As for being duped, the supposed birthday

wasn’t a birthday party, there was no blood.”
International Wedding
Traditions (India) In this custom everyone is either trying to steal or protect the groom’s shoes . During the ceremony the groom removes his shoes prior to entering the alter to be married. Members of the bride’s family are obligated to try stealing the groom’s shoes. The groom’s family, on the other hand, must protect the shoes. If the bride’s family is successful, then the groom must pay whatever amount of money they request to get his shoes back.
For official use only. Do not remove.

International Wedding Tradtions (Ireland)
In the old days, couples dined on salt and oatmeal at the beginning of their reception: the bride and groom would take three mouthfuls to protect against evil eye.
During the reception, when the couple is dancing, the brides feet must remain on the floor. It is said that Fairies love beautiful things and their favorite beautiful thing is a bride. If the bride was to have even one foot off the ground, then she could be swept away by the Fairies.
Int’l Wedding
Traditions Germany has a tradition that involves shattering a lots of dishes before the wedding and the bride and groom clean it up. It is believed that the action of cleaning up the mass collection of broken dishes, which the family and friends have worked so hard to make, will help prepare the couple for their new lives together.
