Physical Education Expectations and Dress Code
● Respect all staff, peers, and self.
● Students are expected to wear the required uniform.
○ Students need to purchase a gray t-shirt and black shorts to wear for
P.E. each day. They are to use the restrooms across the hall from the
gym to change into the required uniform.
○ Students are required to wear the uniform each day. No excuses!

#FITWITHFAMILY I’m asking each student to bring in at least one picture, any time throughout the
semester, of them and their family being physically fit. Examples: hiking, swimming, playing
football, frisbee, baseball, volleyball, basketball, running, boating, golfing, skiing, etc…
I will display them in the gym area for everyone to see and to promote health and fitness.
What will you be able to do during class and when done with the school year?
You will be able to produce Spanish that can be utilized in your everyday life.
What you put IN will determined what you will get OUT.
Tomorrow’s language skills build on mastery of yesterday’s language skills.
Get listening, reading, writing and speaking on day ONE.
Google classroom is where the ALL information is updated and shared DAILY.
Parent emails must be added to google classroom to enter it.
Your student or I can help do that once the student has entered the classroom.
Parents are encouraged to view google classroom.
A three ring binder notebook is required. Bring supplies to create sections in class per my instructions.
Homework is practice towards perfection. It is a mind map to mistakes- perfect mistakes to learn from are growth markers.
Important: A nine week calendar given each 9 weeks specifically for Spanish homework tracking. This MUST be kept by the student and turned in for a Major Grade at end of grading period

Dual Credit Facts
● One class gives you college and high school credit.● TSI Reading and Writing requirements must be met by the end of

Portfolio Meetings
I will be sending out information through email and remind about scheduling your portfolio meetings. These meetings will be conducted in
small groups with parents and students and you all will have an opportunity to ask questions about testing, courses, etc.

Attendance
● Legal Guardian needs to notify the office by phone or email on the day that they are
absent (281-357-3222).
● The Principal’s office must receive a written confirmation of the absence signed by
the parent, legal guardian or written confirmation from a physician’s office within 3
days of the absence.
○ Students should drop their note off at the office upon arrival back at school.
○ Emails cannot be accepted since notes must have an original signature from a
parent, legal guardian or physician’s office.
● Students arriving late to school (8:15 am) are considered tardy with the exception of
a late bus.
Late Arrival or Early Release● Parents must enter through the Tomball High School front entrance and check in
at the Tomball High School front desk.
● Students must check in through the office upon arrival before going to class.
● If your student is leaving early, send them with a signed note that morning.
○ Mrs. Rogers will give the student a temporary pass which will allow the
student to be dismissed from class three minutes prior to the pick-up time
indicated on the parent note.
○ Student will return to the Principal’s office and sign out and receive a yellow
dismissal pass.
● Emails are not accepted because they need to have an original signature.
Dress Code● We follow the TISD Student Dress Code!!!
● Shoes have to be worn at all times.
● Pajamas are not permitted.
● Male students
○ Clean Shaven
○ Sideburns should not extend below the earlobe
○ Hair length should not extend below the bottom of a dress collar or
the top of a t-shirt (man buns are accepted)
○ No earrings
● Tattoos cannot be visible
● No body piercings (only earrings for girls)
Dress Code
● Clothing that does not adequately cover the body or that has tears or rips
that are higher than mid thigh, such as:
○ Low-cut see through spaghetti straps or backless dresses, or other
revealing tops. Midriffs are to be covered.
○ Sleeveless shirts for boys
○ Shorts, skirts, or split skirts shorter than mid-thigh in length. Skirts
should be slit no higher than mid-thigh.
● Hair color cannot be distracting
● All Students MUST wear a ID badge on a lanyard so it is visible
Cell Phone Policy● Cell phones should be silenced at all times.
● Cell phones may be used before and after school, between class periods,
and during lunch as long as students follow TISD acceptable use
guidelines.
● If a student’s phone is confiscated, they may be charged $15
Verification of Enrollment (VOE)● This is need to obtain a driver’s permit or a driver’s licence until the
student graduates from high school.
● A VOE can be obtained from the front office or by calling the school at
281-357-3222.
Medication● Should be given outside school hours if possible.
● Only medication, which enables a student to stay in school, may be
brought to school and will stay in the nurse’s office.
○ Must be brought by a parent
○ Must be in the original bottle
○ Must have a prescription with them
● Students may not carry any medications on their person at any time.

○ Through the School Cafe App
How do I update my contact information?● Phone numbers and email addresses may be updated in the Home Access
Center
● Address changes can only be updated through the Principal’s office.
Proof of residency (electric bill, gas bill) in the Guardian’s name must be
provided before the records will be updated.
● Contact the front office at 281-357-3222 to update emergency contact
information as to who is allowed to pick-up students.
