History about our programThe Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS)
Established by the Legislature in 1969 through SB 164
Created to enable students affected by language, social, and economic handicaps to achieve their educational objective and goals including:
Improved job skills occupational certificates associate degrees transfer to four-year institutions.
ATTENTION EOPS STUDENTS!
You should plan to arrive at least 10 minutes
early to your appointment .Late arrivals will be required
to reschedule.

Eligibility for EOPS?• Financially:
• Qualify for a BOG-W (fee waiver) type A or B
• Educationally:• Have not earned HS diploma nor the equivalent• GPA from HS is below 2.5• Assessment results place you into foundational – Math & English (English 500-450 or Math 504-410)• Completed foundational course series in English or – Math from another college• Completed remedial course work or English as a – Second Language classes in high school and/or – college.• Should not have or have not exceeded 48 degree – applicable units

aintaining good standing, you can benefit until you complete:– 70 degree applicable
semester units (including units from other colleges)
OR:– 6 semesters in the EOPS
program (excluding the summer sessions)
