What is E-Rate?
• The Schools and Library Program of The Universal Service Fund
• Founded in 1997 to ensure that all schools and libraries had sufficient technology
• Provides a discount of 20% to 90% for eligible telecommunications services

Our Campus Technology Plan
San Marcos High School's Campus Plan
1. To provide direct instruction with technology to all grades 7-12 students and teachers.
2. To allow opportunities for individual consultation with teachers and students to
design, implement, and assist with projects utilizing technology.
3. To implement grade level technology literacy standards as referenced in the
Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.
4. To improve students’ and teachers’ technology literacy skills so that they may
become fluent and flexible in the use of technology to access, to evaluate, and
to communicate within the school, the community, and throughout the world.
