Helping your child
experience early success
Helping your child
experience early successUnderstanding your child and his / her needs
through the years:
• Primary 1 – adjustment issues
parents are their heroes
• Primary 2 – 4 – settled in
parents are their idols / friends
• Primary 5 – 6- onset of puberty, preparing for
PSLE, pressures to perform well
parents are naggy
Learning to strike a balance:
• Trust
• Intervention
• Expectations of your child, based on who he /
she is
Helping your child

Thus,
• Communication
• Clear guidelines
• Working with the school
are key at all stages of your child’s development

We wish you all the
best as you journey
with your child!
