• Neighborhood student: lives in neighborhood• Zone Transfer (ZT): lives in Ashland, wants to
attend a different school than neighborhood• Inter-District Transfer (IDT): lives outside of
Ashland, wants to attend Ashland school (could be open enrollment or regular IDT)

Process of enrollment
• Register at neighborhood school (possible accordion zones between schools to balance)
• Request Zone transfer• Request Open enrollment or IDT• Post registration week: administration decides
on requests to balance (not fill) schools across district
