Dental Assisting IOur Dental Assisting Program provides an
introduction to dentistry; establishes fundamentals of the dental assisting
profession; licensure, the dental team, and dental specialties.
Our students will learn: roles of the dental assistant; specialty fields of dentistry; dental
terminology; areas of the dental office; equipment; treatment rooms; sterilization
center, and laboratory.In addition to providing a strong clinical focus, this DAI Program also includes Introductory Dental Business lectures to allow for that “competitive edge” of having been cross-
trained when entering the job market!

Externship Requirements40 Hours required for graduation. You
have 2 weeks to complete.
Each student will be required to arrange 40 hrs. of an externship in a Dental Office of your choosing. Mix it up, choose more than one type of office-Pedo, Endo, General, Ortho, etc…
*The offices must be pre-approved by your Instructor
Dental Assisting I Program
Class Schedule-2 Options- -Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 6-10p for 12 weeks OR -Saturdays Only from 8:30a-5p, for 13 weeks.
Class Size-no more than 16=Great Ratio! 1 Instructor for lecture and 2 Instructors for clinicals.
Homework=required reading-about an hour to hour and a half before your next class.

Attendance Policy
Students are expected to attend all classes, and on time. Students who anticipate an absence should contact their appropriate instructor in advance. In the case of an unexpected absence, student should contact the school as early as possible at 877-432-3555 or send a text message to [email protected]. In either case, the student is responsible for all material covered.
A student may be granted one absence per course, except in extenuating circumstances (One absence is equal to 4 classroom or clinical hours).
The student must make up the time missed due to the absence during their externship, after regularly scheduled classes with the instructor or in the next scheduled term in order to satisfy the graduation requirements.
** The next scheduled session is based on space permitting. Any absence is discouraged except in emergency
situations.
Grading
A minimum grade of 80% (“C”) is required for graduation. The final grade is compiled by quizzes, the RAD clinical and
written exams, externship performance and the Final Exam. Most students pass the exams if they follow all of our
guidelines, but if you don’t, we allow each student one re-test in each area.
Please note that all re-tests must be completed sooner than 90 days following the last class date.
If you are not able to pass the test within ninety days you can re-enroll for at a 50% reduced fee for a period up to six months following the completion of your first scheduled course.
After this six-month period, you are required to pay full tuition minus the cost of books unless the textbook has changed.
What is the inclement weather policy?
Our inclement weather policy tends to follow the cancellation policy of the local community colleges. If our class schedule will differ during inclement weather we will contact you directly.
What do I need to bring to class?Bring a writing utensil, note paper or
notebook and a highlighter. Dress comfortably and appropriate. You
may also want to bring a sweatshirt in case you get cool.
Light snacks are providedWe encourage students to bring their
lunch to any Saturday classes.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or have passed a high school equivalency (GED) test.
Applicants may submit an application for admission in person, online, by fax or by mail.
Late enrollments will be accepted on a case by case basis, pending open seats.
Applicants will be considered without regard to race, creed, sex, or national origin.
Every seat in every class is first come, first serve. Payment arrangement or deposit is the only guarantee of a seat for any class.

Refund Policy
A full refund shall be made if the student officially withdraws prior to the first day of class as noted in the school calendar, minus a $200 enrollment fee. Also, a student is eligible for a 100 percent refund if the class in which the student is officially registered is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.
A 75 percent refund shall be made up to the 25 percent point of any term defined by clock hours for a student who officially withdraws from class.
