Hisdisciplessaid,“Pleaseexplaintousthestoryoftheweedsinthefield.” 37 Jesus replied, “The Son of Man is the farmer who plants the goodseed.38Thefieldistheworld,andthegoodseedrepresentsthepeopleoftheKingdom.Theweedsarethepeoplewhobelongtotheevilone.39Theenemywhoplantedtheweedsamongthewheatisthedevil.Theharvestistheendoftheworld,andtheharvestersaretheangels. 40“Justastheweedsaresortedoutandburnedinthefire,soitwillbeattheendoftheworld.41TheSonofManwillsendhisangels,andtheywillremove from his Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.42And the angels will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there willbeweepingandgnashingofteeth.43Thentherighteouswillshinelikethesun in their Father’sKingdom.Anyonewithears tohear should listenandunderstand!
