Can I update OLPPS data through this application?◦No, this new front-end web-based application is only for
viewing OLPPS data (inquiry only). Am I required to use Web EDB Inquiry?
◦No, you may continue to use DOS-OLPPS, Web EDB Inquiry, or both.
Is any of the data different between the traditional OLPPS and Web EDB Inquiry?◦No, the information is the same.
Are all of the OLPPS fields visible in Web EDB Inquiry?◦Yes, just presented in a more user-friendly format.
What about the other options I see when I log into Web EDB Inquiry, such as WebPan and WebMerit?◦ WebMerit has been implemented, however, only certain
individuals who work on the annual merit process at UCSF has been granted access. WebPan is currently being tested for UCSF. More information regarding this application will be coming from Campus Payroll in the coming months.
How often is Web EDB Inquiry updated from OLPPS?◦ As soon as information has been updated in OLPPS, it is
visible in Web EDB Inquiry.
How do I reset my password?◦ You can either reset your password in OLPPS (as you
normally have in the past), or you can use the Web EDB Inquiry by clicking on “Change Password” after you log in.
What if I do not have OLPPS access. How do I obtain access to these systems?◦ You will first need to attend either the OLPPS Inquiry or
Data-entry class offered by Campus Payroll. Once you have successfully completed either one of those classes, you next should speak to your System Administrators to request access.
