Abstract

An experiment was performed to examine the wave properties of light including polarization, interference and diffraction. Light was used with various lenses to create these effects, and the wavelength was measured using three different methods of examinations.

Conclusion(s)

Light has many different properties that are exploited by people every day. Some examples include, but are not limited to, sunglasses that polarize light for higher quality image processing or holography by using diffraction. Additionally, measuring the wavelength of light is important to determine the specific light we are trying to filter which is usefully in almost all electronic applications involving optics.
