How safe is the water we drink?
• Water supply to cities, although purified, can contain bacteria and other biological life forms that can result in stomach related disorders.
• Additionally, the water storage (overhead tanks, etc) may not be cleaned regularly, increasing the chances of bacterial presence.
• This is not just at home, but also at restaurants we eat out at.

So, what is the solution?
Friday, 16 May 14
Certainly Not Bottled Water...!!
• Bottled water is the most obvious solution due to its accessibility.
• However:
• Bottling plants do not use BPA free plastic when manufacturing these bottles. BPA is a toxin that is released into the contents of the bottle with exposure to heat.
• Apart from health threats, disposal of these bottles poses a threat to the environment.
• Almost all of these bottles eventually end up in the trash, hence in landfills or at the bottom of the ocean, causing plenty of ecological damage and are an eyesore.
