Third grade is typically a year of great transition academically, emotionally, and behaviorally. The 3rd grade team strongly believes in maintaining a healthy and productive parent-teacher-child relationship. evening!

Homework consists of reading for 20 minutes, completing the reading log with 2-3 interesting words, a weekly reading menu item and usually a math activity page.
If your student has a question or needs help with a math problem, let them call Mrs. Hall.

Preparation for the STAAR test is ongoing and involves making explicit connections between good assessment-taking practices and good general learning practices.
We strongly believe that the STAAR is not an event, but a way for students to demonstrate their learning. For that reason, we teach and reinforce all levels of processing skills in our classrooms. Our curriculum provides numerous preparation opportunities.
We expect all of our students to pass both the Math and Reading STAAR assessments.
