For inclement weather the Promenade Terrace may be used
All decorations are the wedding party’s responsibility
Ceremony music or entertainment is supplied by the wedding party
A wedding ceremony at the Yacht Club must be followed by a reception
**$100 Gazebo Decoration Removal deposit is required for all Gazebo weddings
The deposit is refundable after the decorations, including staples
have been removed from the gazebo within 48hrs.
The services provided by The Walden Yacht Club are subject to a 21% operations
charge, a 6.25% sales tax, and an 8.25% state liquor is applied to all hosted liquor.

This room is complete with timeless elegance, a waterfront view,
dance floor and balcony for your wedding day pleasure.
Your Reception Includes
4 hours of reception time from Bride and Groom’s Grand Entrance
($500 per hour for each additional hour)
Your reception will include the complete set-up of our tables, chairs, table lin-
en, china, silverware, glassware, food service equipment, bar
and dance floor if desired.**
Reception party is responsible for all decorations, but assorted centerpiece
items are available for your use at no extra charge

Walden Yacht Club F A Q
Q: Do you have to be a member at Walden to get married, or use the facility?
A: No, the Yacht Club is open to the public.
Q: How many people can the Yacht Club accommodate?
A: The Commodore Room can hold up to 130 people. The Promenade Room can seat 187 people, or 17 rounds
of 11. We can also use the terrace, weather permitting for another 100 people on the lower level.
Q: Can you bring in your own food/alcohol?
A: No outside alcohol permitted. The Yacht Club has to provide the food and alcohol for your event. Violators will have contraband confiscated & returned to them at the end of the event.
Q: Are tables, chairs and linens supplied?
A: Yes, it is all included in your set-up fee for the event. You are welcome to bring in outside linens/chair covers if you wish.
Q: Can we bring in a live band?
A: Yes, you are allowed to bring in whatever entertainment you prefer. We offer a vendor list of local vendors, but you are able to use whomever you choose.
Q: Do you have dressing rooms available for brides/grooms?
A: Yes, a dressing room is available for bride/bridesmaids, as well as groom/groomsmen.
Q: What are the maximum hours allowed per event?
A: Each event has a 4 hour time slot. You can purchase additional time, depending on the event.
Q: May we bring our own decorations?
A: Yes. Walden does have some centerpiece items available to you, but you are not limited to those.
Q: What is the deposit required to hold a date and when is the balance of the event due?
A: There is a $1000.00 deposit that goes directly to your balance, and the remainder of the balance and your
guaranteed headcount is due 2 weeks prior to your event.
Q: How many weddings can be held at one time?
A: Only one wedding at a time, but 2 in a day is the most.
Q: Are we allowed to do a “cake & punch reception” instead of providing a meal for our guests?
A: Depending on availability, Walden will try to accommodate any request that a potential client may have.
Q: How big is the dance floor in the Promenade Room?
A: The dance floor is 15’ x 18’.
Q: How long before our event do we have to decorate?
A: You will have access to your room that morning. As soon as the houseman has your tables/chairs/linens
in place, you may begin decorating.
Q: Do we have to do the decorating of the gazebo?
A: Yes, the gazebo decorations and wedding music are the client’s responsibility.
Q: Do property owner’s in Walden receive a discount when they do a private event at the Yacht Club?
A: No, not for a private event.
