PATRIOT GOLF DAY TOURNAMENTOn Monday September 1, 2014 the Club hosted Patriot Golf
Day which raised money for the Folds of Honor Foundation. 120 Members wore their Red, White & Blue and $5,945 for this great cause. The Folds of Honor Foundation provides scholarship and assistance to the spouses and children of those killed or disabled in the service to America. Of the one million-plus dependents adversely affected by deployments to Iraq and Afganistan, over 87% do not qualify for federal scholarship assistance. We can honor those who fought for our freedom by serving the families they leave behind.

A LETTER FROM YOUR BOARD OF GOVERNORS CHAIRMAN
Fall is in full swing and so are our tennis and golf members. What a year it has been so far! Have you noticed the latest changes at the club? The final installment of the membership money that was raised by bringing in new members has been utilized to renovate the
Women’s Locker Room, the Ladies Bathroom area, and the Men’s Bathroom area. Below is a brief list of the projects that your Board of Governors and Century and Walden Club management have initiated over the past few years:
I think the Board of Governors, past and present, along with the Century Management team has given new life to the golf course and facility, making the Walden Golf and Country Club one of the finest clubs in the area.
As the last months of 2014 approach, there is still time to book reservations for those special parties and gatherings at the club. It is a beautiful venue for your celebrations, with great food and drink. And it is always a good time to bring in new members. With new membership we can continue to grow our club and improve our facilities.
Lastly, please remember the suggestions boxes located throughout the club. The Board looks to our members for new ideas. If you have
suggestions, please submit them we use your recommendations to improve the club. Note, the Board reviews these monthly and shares the suggestions with the Walden management team if appropriate and will provide you feedback directly if you so indicate on the suggestion form.
We hope these cooler months will allow you to get out and enjoy the tennis or golf that is being played daily. And don’t forget the Fitness center is there to help you stay fit.
Thank you for being a member. We hope you enjoy the amenities and changes to the Walden facilities.

HOLIDAY SEASON IS HERE!It’s hard to believe we’re in the last quarter of
the year. The Holiday season is here. Allow me to thank so many of you for trusting The Tracy Montgomery Team to represent you in the sale and purchase of your homes. We feel blessed beyond measure to live and play active roles in the community. As I drive through our community I’m uplifted as I see your homes and think of the friendships we’ve built.
With all the “spookiness” that Halloween brings it can bring family and friends together. From pumpkins to candy corn and from costumes to parties it’s one of our nations favorite holidays. Here are some ideas to bring added fun to your Halloween season:
Like ginger bread houses? Have some fun competition with the kids or neighbors and see who can make the spookiest house from graham crackers.
Getting bored with your pumpkin carving? Try carving a gord, watermelon, or squash. Instead of your typical jack-o-lantern find stencils online for carving everything from birds to Harry Potter.
Have kids that like to cook? Make your own traditional treats; lifesaver necklaces, candy corn, taffy, caramel apples, and more.
Thanks again for the referrals and the opportunities to help you and friends with all your real estate needs.
