ABC’s Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals for the Arts (VLPA) program acceptsresumes for legal internsduring the school year andover the summer. As aVLPAintern, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to all manner of arts andentertainmentlaw.Internsworkdirectlywithclientstogainhands-onexperienceinthesefields.Throughoutyourinternship,youwillreporttotheProgramDirector.

Thisexperientiallearningplacementincludesopportunitiesto:–Performclientinterviewsandintakes–Participateinclientmeetings–Engageinresearchonavarietyoflegalissues–Preparememosonartsandentertainmentlawtopics–Draftandreviewcontracts–Assistineducationalseminarsonlegalandbusinesstopicsfortheartscommunity

WorkScheduleSummerinternshipsarefull-time,withaminimumsix-weekcommitment.ApplicationsforsummerinternshipsareduebyFebruary15.Duringthesemester,flexiblehourswillbearrangedwiththestudent’sschedule,withaminimumcommitmentof8hoursperweek.Thesehourswillfallwithintheregularbusinesshoursof9amto5pm.ApplicationsforfallinternshipsareduebyMarch31.ApplicationsforspringinternshipsareduebyOctober30.Thesehourswillfallwithintheregularbusiness

Salary/CourseCreditThis is an unpaid internship and does notguarantee employment upon completion.Parkingexpenseswillbecoveredinfull.Wewillwork with your school to meet therequirements for receiving academicintern/externshipcreditifpossible.Thestudentis responsible for securingand coordinatingallinformationtoobtainacademiccredit.
