SRINAGAR, Feb 24: Policearrested a chronic drug peddlerand recovered Recodex/Maxcoff (PsychotropicSubstances) bottles from hispossession in Anantnag districttoday.

Dooru nabbed a chronic drugpeddler, Showkat Ahmed Sofi,a resident of Khud HamaamDooru and recovered Recodex/Maxcoff (PsychotropicSubstances) bottles from hispossession.

"A case under FIR No12/2018 under Section 8/22 ofNDPS Act was registered atpolice station Dooru and inves-tigation was taken up," he said.

A Police spokesman saidrelatives of Sohail EjazKataria, son of Ajaz AhmadKataria, resident of MarsariChowkibal Kupwara onTuesday approached thePolice Station Kralpora andnarrated that Ejaz AhmadKataria who was pursuingMBBS course at AIIMSBhubaneswar Odisha is miss-ing from his College Hostelsince Feb 9.

"SSP Kupwara took-up the

matter with DCP ofBhubaneswar Police andrequested for ascertaining thewhereabouts of the missingboy. DCP Bhubaneswar Policehas assured early action intothe matter. SSP Kupwara alsospoke to the father of themissing boy who is presentlyat Bhubaneswar and assuredall possible help from J&Kpolice in locating the missingboy," he said.

"The concerned localpolice have also seized twohand written notes from theHostel room of the missingboy. The Bhubaneswar Policealong with Kashmir Police ismaking concerted efforts inascertaining the whereaboutsof the missing boy," he added.
