Virtual Private Network Set-up Instructions

1. Download CISCO VPN Software from https://cuvpn.cuvpn.cornell.edu (use netid/password)

2. Install software.

3. Open VPN software - the location is : cuvpn.cuvpn.cornell.edu

4. Login : NETID@fh-vpn Password: NetID password

5. From there map the location -

• In a windows machine click on my computer, then map network drive at the top : • Example - (for DNS) Put in - \\fh-data.files.cornell.edu\fh-data\CHE-COMMUNITY

6. From here it will prompt for credentials - enter - cornell\NETID and NETID Password

7. It should open up a folder list of the files available to you.

8. On a Mac

• From Finder select Go from the pulldown Menu, then Connect to server • Enter the address - (example) smb://fh-data.files.cornell.edu/fh-data/CHE-COMMUNITY

9. It will then prompt for credentials - enter netid and your netid password
