VTS’ Field Education program currently is designed:
Primarily for M.Div. seminarians To provide experiential, contextual learning opportunities to assist
seminarians with:
Integrating their study of Christian tradition and their practice of Christian ministry
Developing their liturgical & leadership abilities
Enhancing their personal and professional growth, and
Promoting ongoing theological reflection on the practice of ministry

The seminarian LAY COMMITTEE
Small group at FE site whose purpose is to: Assist the seminarian in his/her development as a
Christian minister, and Walk, grow and learn with him/her as fellow
pilgrims and disciples who share common joys and struggles in life and faith.
Usually 2 hr. monthly meetings. Lay Committee Orientations and Assessment
Workshops.
