What does energy balance mean?Roof windows can receive and release energy. When the sun hits a window pane, the rays are transformed into heat inside the room. And when the temperature outside starts to drop, the pane will start to lose heat energy to the outside environment.

Blackout Blinds (DKL)This is the ideal blind for when you want to turn day into night. The Blackout Blind runs up and down the window in aluminium side channels. These are designed to prevent daylight from passing in around the edges.

The Blackout Blind can also improve a window’s insulation by up to 20%. They feature an aluminium backing that reflects excessive heat from the sun whilst retaining heat within the room. Ideal for bedrooms, it’s the perfect blind for long lie-ins and afternoon naps.

Remote Control Solar Blackout Blinds (DSL)The DSL Blind is a battery operated remote control Blackout Blind. You can fill a room with natural light or shut it out completely, all at the touch of a button. It can also be set to any position on the window.

It comes with a fully charged battery, which is good for up to 600 operations (about a year’s worth) even if there’s no sun for recharging.

All of our Blackout Blinds come with aluminium backing, which prevents heat loss and heat gain. This can help improve the insulation of your window by up to 20%.

Blind appears at the touch of a button and is hidden by an aluminium fascia when not in use.

The blind can be positioned at any point within the window.

Made-to-measure aluminium side channels prevent light from passing in around the edges.

Electric Flat Roof Blinds (FMG/FMK)The Electric Flat Roof Blind FMg is a pleated blind and FMK is a double pleated blind. They’re designed for electrical operation in Flat Roof Windows CFP and CVP. If customers would like to use this blind on a fixed Flat Roof Window (CFP) they will need a conversion kit (KUX 100). This is an additional control system that allows FMg or FMK blinds to be fitted to a CFP fixed Flat Roof window.

Awning Blinds (MHL/MAL)These external blinds are the perfect way to keep a room cool. When closed, they can reduce the amount of heat entering a room by up to 90%, which is especially useful if your customer has a south-facing window. They’re easy to install too, without the need to climb onto the roof.

When not in use the Awning Blind rolls up and out of sight under the top casing. And the fabric is weather resistant for longer lasting performance. Also comes complete with cord control.

TheMHLBlindcanberolledfullyupordown.Torolldownthe blind, rotate the window 180° and fit the blind to the hooks on the outside of the bottom sash. The cord operated MAL Blind can be raised and lowered with a cord.
