INTRODUCTION
What is Linguaphone iEnglish Course?
This latest English course which is completely software based .The entire course
is available in a USB drive which is fully encrypted.
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to listen, read, and speak
confidently in English.
This course is suitable for students, working adults, professionals or anybody
who wants to learn English. Institutions like schools, colleges and institutions of
higher learning can also use the iEnglish course to train the students on English
language fluency.
KNOW YOUR LINGUAPHONE I-ENGLISH
Linguaphone iEnglish Standard
The standard course covers level 1 and level 2 of the English course which takes you
from basic to an intermediate level. You will be able to acquire a vocabulary of 1,500
words in English. The standard course is designed for those who do not have a basic
understanding of English or for those with a limited command of the language to
improve their fluency. Level 1 also has audio in Bahasa Indonesia.
Linguaphone iEnglish Advanced
The Advanced covers level 3 and level 4 of the English course which takes you from a
Upper intermediate level to Advanced level. You will be able to acquire a vocabulary of
3000 words in English. This course is designed for those who have a basic knowledge
of English but would like to have a better command of English.

For first time login, select ADMIN and use the following username and password:
Username: Administrator
Password: 12345678
For first time login, the following license agreement is displayed in order to add
users. Kindly read through and click ‘Accept’ to proceed in adding users.
ADMIN PAGE
Manage Users
You can view the number of users added here and also edit the username and
password. Number of maximum users can added is 5.
Click on ‘Add User’ to create a new user profile as shown below:
Kindly key in your name, desired username and password to create a new user
profile. You can also add your desired picture in your user profile.
Manage Admin
You can change and update your Administrator’s username and password in this
section.
Progress Reports for Users
In this section, the Administrator can view and monitor the progress of each user.
Marks in percentage are recorded for each gradable activity and assessment for
the entire course as the user progresses in each level of the iEnglish course. The
Administrator can also check the number of activities (for each unit) which are
completed or pending for each user.

Video course
The Linguaphone Video course is part of a new generation of courses designed to
give the language student a more intensive learning experience, and is the product
of four years of intensive work by experts in language learning. They are designed to
make learning easier by giving the student a 'kick-start' into the process, and
features a combination of audio, video, and written sources for learning.
Activities
In this section, you can begin your course by selecting the level you want to learn.
We provide a placement test to guide the user on a quick way of assessing the
approximate level of a student's knowledge of English grammar and usage.
The full entire course is divided into 4 levels. (From beginner to Advanced)
Each level is split into 7 units of study.
In each unit:
- Presentation of objectives,
- Introduction of the new language
- Practice of new language
- Explanations of grammar patterns
- Mother tongue instructions to help build confidence
HOW TO BEGIN
Select the level you want to learn
We would recommend the user to kick start the course step by step as the
entire course is designed in a way that the user will progress in the command of
English as they study the course level by level and unit by unit.

This page contains all the different activities of the units for the user to learn
progressively.
Objectives (Each unit)
To begin each unit, the user should first read and understand the objectives for
the specific unit.
Activities
After reading and understanding the objectives of the unit, the user should
proceed to the first activity progressively.
For each activity, user should start it with:
1. Listening to the audio (If there is any) to understand the objective of the
activity.
2. Read and complete the activity as per the instruction in the audio.
3. Do the spoken practice exercises. (If there is any)
Speaking practices
Step1:
A list of sentences will appear from the specific activity which has spoken
practices. Choose any of the sentences. Alternatively, you can double click on the
sentence.
Step 2:
You can hear the sentence that you have chosen when you click on the Play
Button . A wave graph will be displayed.
Step 3:
Click on the Record button so that you can read the sentence loudly using a
microphone.
Step 4:
Once you have finished reading the sentence, click the Record button to stop
the recording.
Step 5:
A wave graph will be displayed to show the comparison between the Instructor’s
Voice and Your Voice. Wrongly pronounced word(s) will be coloured red. A score
will be displayed underneath to show your pronunciation accuracy.
Summary (Each unit)
At the end of each unit (after doing the activities), there is a summary page that
summarizes the content of the unit. Kindly read through to refresh what has
been learnt in that specific unit.
Assessments (Each unit)
After reading the content of the summary, the user shall proceed to the next
section which is Assessments. Each assessment is found at the end of every unit
for the user to revise the content and related syllabus of the unit. The user
should complete all the assessments and upon the completion of each activity in
the assessment, marks in percentage are recorded to track their progress of the
course.
Grammar (Each level)
The Grammar section is found at the end of every level. In this section, all the
grammar rules which are found in all the units of the level are explained in
details for the user to understand more on how to apply grammar rules.
Glossary (Each level)
After the Grammar section, users can find the words which they don’t
understand used in all the units in the Glossary section.

beginning your lesson.
Click on this to do all the spoken practice for the entire unit.
Click on this to get the texts of the audio recording.

Click on this to get the summary of the key language in the Unit.
Click on this to get the progress report for the User.
Click on this to get the translation for the activity. (Only available for
Advanced course)
