6. Preparation to use
6.1. Unit installationSelectlocationfordisplay.Alocationoutofdirectsunlightprovidesbestvisibility.Theunitmaybemountedfromabulkheadorinstalledinaflushpanel.Panelcutoutdimensionsaregiveninthespecifications.

7. Safety precautions
WARNING: Mounting, demounting and repairs of the UDR-6(x) must be performed when the power 24VDC is OFF.
Itisprohibitedto:
installthefuseswithratingsinconsistentwiththisManual;–exposetheunittoimpactsandtostretchtheconnectedcables;–connecttherepeatertonetworksdifferentfrommentionedinthe–presentManual;operatetheunitwhenitisoutoforder;–mounttheunitcloserthan1metersfromthemagneticcompass;–locatetherepeaterlessthan1mawayfromthemagnetic–compass;supplytheunitwithvoltagedifferentfrom24VDC±10%–
Don’tplacetheUnitintothewater.
Don’tuseorganicsolventstoavoidinflictingdamagetotheappliedimageswhencleaningthesurfaceoftheUnit.

8. MaintenanceInordertokeepUDR-6(x)properlyfunctioningduringoperationalperiod,routingmaintenanceshouldbeperformed.
Firstroutingmaintenanceincludesperiodical(nolessthanonceperhalf-year)visualinspectionwithdustremovalusingsofttissueandabrushandperformancemonitoringonthevisualbasis:LEDsglowing,voltageatload,switchingtothebackupmode.
SecondroutingmaintenanceshouldbeperformedwhenfaultsofUDR-6(x)aredetectedandincludesperformancecheckoftheUnitincompliancewithcorrespondingsectionsofthepresentManual.
Ifit’simpossibletofixthefaultsofUDR-6(x)onthespot,itshouldbeforwardedtorepairs.
9. Transportation and storageTransportationisperformedusingthecardboardwrapperatanyenclosedtransportfacility.
UDR-6(x)mustbestoredinenclosedspaceat–20…+45°C.

10. WarrantyThemanufacturerguaranteesnormaloperationoftheUniversalDigitalRepeaterUDR-6(x)incaseofcompliancewithtransportation,storage,mountingandoperationrulesandregulations.
WarrantyperiodoftheUnitshelflifeis18monthsfromthedateofselling.
Warrantyperiodofoperationis12monthsfromthedateofcommissioningoftheUnit.Duringwarrantyperiodtheownercanclaimafreerepairorseparateblockreplacement,ifthedefectisduetomanufacturer’sfault.
Warrantyrepairsareperformedifthefollowingdocumentsarepresent:
givenOperationsManual;–Approvalcertificate;–Commissioningreport.–
ManufacturercannotbeheldliableforUnitmalfunctioningandsuspendsanywarrantyliabilitiesinthefollowingcases:
noncompliancewithrulesofmounting,operationand–transportation;applyingofthenon-standardelectricapparatus;–

anattempttoperformrepairbyanypersonwhoisnotan–authorizedrepresentativeoftheManufacturer;lossofmarketability,andcaseintegrityandforreasonsbeyondthe–controlofthemanufacturer.
Ifthecommissioningmarkisabsent,periodofwarrantyrepairsisreckonedfromthedateofsellingoftheUnit.
ShouldthepresentOperationsManualbelost,duplicatesofacceptancereportandcommissioningreportarenotissued,andtheOwnerforfeitshisrightforfreerepairduringthewarrantyperiod.
