***TURKEY CALL***DENVER RESCUE MISSION NEEDS 10,000 TURKEYS
Denver, CO - The Denver Rescue Mission is asking for donations of frozen
turkeys, weighing 12 pounds or more, to feed the homeless and poor during this
holiday season. The turkeys will be served at the Great Thanksgiving Banquet on
Wednesday, November 23rd, used in 1,250 holiday food boxes and distributed to
poor and needy families in the Denver-Metro area through churches and smaller
non-profit organizations.
Drop off turkey and food donations at the Lawrence Street Shelter (corner of
Park Avenue West and Lawrence Street) and help the homeless and working poor

Additional items needed for Thanksgiving food boxes include: canned fruit,
canned vegetables, canned pumpkin, boxed stuffing, canned cranberries, and
canned yams.
