Trying to understand the situation in Kosovo
• The origin of the situation is the movement of people to different places in time. After second world war Yugoslavia was created.
• In that time different people were join in one country but it was an artificial union.
• The disintegration of Yugoslavia began in 1991 when its different republics decide to separate
1.Bosnia y Herzegovina, capital Sarajevo, 2.Croacia, capital Zagreb, 3.Macedonia, capital Skopje, 4.Montenegro, capital Titograd, or Podgorica. 5.Serbia, capital Belgrado which also contained: 5a. Province Kosovo, capital Priština 5b. Province Vojvodina, capital Novi Sad •Eslovenia, capital Liubliana.
• The republic number 5 is Serbia, that it had Kosovo as province. Now Kosovo people wants separate of Serbia. In this sector the majority of people are Albanian (90%) but there are Serbian people too (10%). Obviously the people Serbia don’t want that Kosovo province was separate of Republic Serbia. In 1913 about 60% of people was of Serbian origin
• Kosovo has 2,2 million people and its area is 10.887 Km2. The other problem is that Serb minority is
discriminated in Kosovo for majority of origin Albanian.
• The Serbian republic has 10 million people and they will defend Serbian people of Kosovo. They believe that the origin of Serbia started in Kosovo. In this moment NATO troops keep the peace. What happens there in the future?
