WEST FLANK ORCHESTRA MANY THANKS TO MRS RICH-
ARDS AND MRS MARSHALL FOR ORGANISING AND LEAD-
ING THE 3RD WEST FLANK ORCHESTRA DAY. THE CHIL-
DREN SPENT THE WHOLE DAY IN EACH OTHER’S COMPANY, LEARNING THE MUSIC FOR THE SHORT CONCERT THAT WAS HELD ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE PAR-
ENTS OF THE CHILDREN IN-
VOLVED. FOR THE SCHOOLS INVOLVED (CAROLINE HAS-
LETT, GILES BROOK, LONG MEADOW PRIMARY SCHOOLS AND CTS) IT WAS FANTASTIC FOR THE CHILDREN TO GET TOGETHER TO MAKE A BIG ORCHESTRA. THIS YEAR WE MISSED OUR FRIENDS FROM PRIORY RISE. A BIG THANK YOU TO MRS BANCROFT OF LOUGHTON MANOR FIRST SCHOOL, WHO LENT US THE MUSIC STANDS, WITHOUT WHICH THE DAY WOULD HAVE BEEN RATHER STRANGE!!!

Uniform Sales: We will be holding new uniform sales on the following dates for both parents of our current pupils and our new Foundation 2 starters:
Weds 6th July – 1:30 – 3:00pm AND Weds 13th July – the whole school day
We’ll also be available for you to buy new uniform on Fri 2nd Sept 10am – 1pm
Parking: Please can all parents and carers take care when using the community car park outside the school. We are once again receiving complaints from other users being blocked in by people who are collect-ing children. Please remember that it is not only visitors to the school that use this car park, but other members of the community and try and be courteous to all.
On Saturday 25 June, 20 members of the school community were out and about in Grange Farm tidying the place up, collecting litter, mainly, and talk-ing to residents about the school. Thank you all so much!!! Thanks especially to CTS Community Friends for doing this for us—and especially to Kaajal Mushtaq, Gail Birkett, Christine Smith, Hema Morarji and Ranbir Sandhu who were out there with parents and children on Saturday morning. You are all stars and your community is (or jolly well should be!) very grateful!
Children from Y5/Y4 took part in the annual MK Pri-mary Music Festival. They performed songs from The Button Box as part of the stage choir, before an audi-ence of parents and teachers at the New Life Centre in Wolverton Mill South, last Thursday. It was a really super event and we had lots and lots of comments about our children’s great singing (and actions!).
FOOTBALL COACH NEEDED: We would once again like to have a Christ the Sower Year 5/6 football team from the Autumn Term and are looking for a football coach or parent/carer volunteer who can
coach the team on a Monday afterschool from 3.15-4.15pm and attend the Wednesday league games which are once or twice a term. Please contact the School Office if interested; DBS check is required.

NUT Industrial Action. The National Union of Teachers are taking industrial action on Tuesday 5th July over terms and conditions to their contracts and reductions in school funding over the next few years.. Both are real issues. I support the right of NUT mem-bers to strike, and members do not have to inform me until the morning of the strike. That being said, some members have already told me that they are not striking and others are not working on that day anyway. We will text you with updates.
On the 22nd June, Andrew Macder-mott returned to work with the children in Barley Class on their her-itage pottery
work—the work that will be a leg-acy from the chil-dren to the school. This work is funded by Friends Together and the initial glazes are illus-trated here for some of the hands created by the
children.
If you have not yet heard, YEAR 6 children are performing a musical version of THE TEMPEST, based on the play by
William Shakespeare. This is their end of year performance and really worth seeing.
We really want as many people to see this as possible—not only Year 6 parents, but anyone who likes musical theatre or Shakespeare. Ask your children. They’ll all get the chance to see the dress rehearsals and I am sure they’d recommend it! Performances are on Wednesday/Thursday next week, both @ 6 p.m. There are 40 SEATS STILL AVAILABLE FOR
EACH SHOW! Contact the office if you’re interested in getting seats!
