Welcome to Prairie Hill
Welcome Visitors Welcome to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. We are a loving and
welcoming family of faith, excited about what God has done and continues to do for us. We rejoice that you have chosen to worship with us. This bulle-
tin along with the screen in the front of the sanctuary will guide worship. The page numbers for the service refer to the front of the red hymnals in
the pew. You will find hymns in the back of the same hymnal. The * indicates where you are invited to stand. We desire and encourage children to partici-pate in our worship, but just in case, a cry room and a bathroom are located near the church entrance. If you have any questions about our church fam-
ily, membership, or interested in conversation with Pastor Kyle, call the church office at 979-836-8666.
Statement of Faith St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill is a congregation of people who love Jesus and are passionate about God’s Kingdom. We are firmly rooted in the
Lutheran “flavor” of Christianity, with a strong emphasis on the power of God’s grace.
Season of the Church Year: Time After Pentecost + Liturgical Color: Purple The Sanctuary colors serve to adorn the worship space, and to call attention to the nature of the season or festival being celebrated. Purple, associated
with Lent, suggests repentance and solemnity.
Worship Times Sundays: 8:00 and 10:05 a.m.
Sunday School: 9 a.m.
Office Hours Monday through Wednesday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
We encourage you take this bulletin home, pray the prayer list, note dates, and reflect of the scripture readings.

“A Place to Call Home”
1O God, you are my God; eagerly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. 2Therefore I have gazed upon you in your holy place, that I might behold your power and your glory.
3For your steadfast love is better than life itself; my lips shall give you praise. 4So will I bless you as long as I live and lift up my hands in your name. 5My spirit is content, as with the richest of foods, and my mouth praises you with joyful lips, 6when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the night watches. 7For you have been my helper, and under the shadow of your wings I will rejoice.

THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION is distributed by bread and wine in individual glasses or a common cup. Individual glasses of white grape juice are also available for those unable to con-sume wine. All baptized Christians are invited to join us at the table for the Sacrament of Holy Communion, in which we confess that we receive the Body and Blood of our Lord in, with, and under the elements of bread and wine.
We take up an offering, acknowledging that all that we have
is a gift from God. The offering supports
the ministries of St. John here at Prairie Hill
and around the world.
We ask that you also fill out a worship attendance card
and place it in the offering plate so that we can stay in touch with you
You may use the back of the card to share any prayer concerns
with the pastor.
