I owe you a special thanks for taking some time to talk about “life”.

Being an Asian male who is in the field, proudly out, and most importantly, happy, is who I aspire to be. Looking up to you and talking with you this past week made me realize that it’s not impossible.

If I can impact students’ lives the same way that you have mine, I’ll be a satisfied man. I know that this is the one field where I can do that!

You left a permanent mark in my life. You never gave up on me. You always held me accountable, kept me grounded, lifted me up when I needed it, you were supportive, and you were a friend.

You taught us to work as a team, appreciate everyone’s individual skills and ideas, not to judge each other, and to be proud of ourselves, our organization, and our school. YOU left that mark in my life and I really needed to thank you for that.
