The agricultural research system has the main objetives :
Elaborating natioanal reserach programmmes and the corresponding financial budgets
Follow up and assessment of research programs
Coordination and complementarity between eduaction and research institutions in the agricultural field. Act so as the higher education and research institutions work is orinted to farmers
In the framework of the project supported by the World Bank (agricultural support services project) several research projects were proposed by the Interporgessionnal Groups (Groupements interprofessionels ‘GIP’) related to quality aspects in the agriculture and fishery sector.
Framework agreements in research and development
between IRESA and Interprofessionnal Groups (GIP, such as GIVLAIT, GIFRUITS, OEGP, GIPP, and GIPAC)
15 projects chains were elaborated and adopted (Meat sector, Milk, Fishery, Poultry, Vegetabkes, Fruits, etc. )
