Intensity of God’s Sorrow
• God’s heart hurts when we choose to walk in sin, Gen. 6:6-7– Grieved (6:6): To hurt, to have pain, Jer.
9:1– Sorry (6:7): Regret, a change of mind

• Goodness: His sorrow over our sins prompts His mercy, Mark 3:5– Redemption in Christ• God takes no pleasure in the death of

•God is grieved when…–We ignore Him–We rebel against Him–We choose other things–We harden ourselves
• In love, He offers us mercy in His Son•He disciplines us to help turn sorrow into joy
