“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19–20).
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned” (Mark 16:15–16).
“I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish. So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:14–16).
“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!’ However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, ‘LORD, who has believed our report?’ So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ” (Romans 10:14–17).
Our work at SEARCH is to evangelize! We must preach the gospel until the Lord returns, until every soul is redeemed, until every heart knows the truth, and until every person loves and serves the Lord. “This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:3–4).
God had only one Son, and He was a preacher. The Lord Jesus now calls us to take the gospel to every soul of man. The harvest is plentiful, and we must work the works of Him who sent Jesus while we can (John 9:4). Will you help us with your prayers and financial support?
The Lord be with you, Phil Sanders
The Great Commission
We’ve had a great beginning to 2016! We just received news from Howard Burnette that Fred Hilbrich was baptized into Christ after a Bible study. Fred had watched the SEARCH program and enrolled in a Bible Correspondence course. One of our faithful volunteers, Marty Miller, graded his course and taught him. Howard Burnette of Crossville, TN followed up with an old fashioned home Bible study, and Fred became a Christian on January 15!
If you know of others who have come to the Lord through some influence of the SEARCH program, please let us know! We are grateful to Marty Miller and to Howard Burnette for their faithful service in evangelism. He who wins souls is wise!
We are truly grateful for all the churches who partner with us not only as financial supporters but also as co-laborers in the important work of evangelism. We must continue to spread the gospel as far and wide as we can, knowing God will give the increase!
March and April will be very busy months as I continue traveling. My schedule is quite full this year, but I have a few openings. Next year also has openings.
I am excited about being at the Freed-Hardeman University Lectureship this year. I will serve as one of the panelists on the open forum. Jackie will be with me. We will also have a SEARCH meal at the Henderson church building on Wednesday at noon. The cost is $10, which covers our expenses. If you come, I hope we can visit a moment.

SEARCH LightThe 2
The New Year of 2016 has started strong for IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY. We thank our volunteers for their devotion and hard work each month. We thank all of you who pray for the SEARCH ministry. We thank all of you who financially support SEARCH so faithfully. And, we thank GOD for allowing us to work in HIS Kingdom sowing the seed of the Gospel all over the world.
“For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.” Romans 11:36 (NKJV)
I am often asked by people, when explaining this ministry, how do you know SEARCH is making a difference in the world? Certainly, it is impossible to track on a spread sheet the total effect SEARCH has on the USA, much less the whole world. But, based on feedback shown in an article in this newsletter and more in the letters on the back page of this publication, we can know the seeds that are planted are growing and spreading His Kingdom! Also, we know by letters and emails sent in that the SEARCH ministry edifies and strengthens members of the body of Christ. Once again we give GOD all the glory and honor for the outreach of this effort.
As the operations director of IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY, I would be remiss if from time to time I did not tell you about the staff working together in this ministry. The people who are full time employees of SEARCH number seven souls. We usually have one or two part time people for special projects as well. These people are among some of the most talented and skilled folks I have ever had the pleasure to work with! Besides their varied and technical skills they have an unstoppable desire to be servants of the LORD and their personalities reflect the love of GOD as we work together to reach the lost.
Ephesians 4:16 “from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” (NKJV)
If the SEARCH program is not broadcast in your town and you would like to make it available, give us a call at 1-800-321-8633 or send us an email [email protected], and we will discuss the possibilities. Many times it just takes a couple of local calls!

MAR 6 – YOUR SOULThe word “soul” is one we do not speak
much about these days. But each of us has a God-given soul that God will one day require of us. How we live in this life will affect our souls in the life to come.
MAR 13 – YOUR SINOne in eight Americans does not believe
in the concept of sin, and nearly four in ten believe sin is an outdated word. What is sin, is it really a serious matter, and how does my sin affect me?
MAR 20 – YOUR SALVATIONFor someone to be saved means that
they were at one time lost. Many folks today do not know they are lost and in need of saving. Our salvation came at a great cost, and we are so blessed to have a Savior.
MAR 27 – YOUR DESTINYOne day each of us will face our destiny
in the afterlife. The decisions of what we believe and how we live today will affect where our souls spend eternity. We need to choose the narrow road that leads to life!
Howard Burnette of Crossville, TN baptizing Fred Hilbrich.
Thank you to the church of Christ in Chalmette, LA for telling their neighbors where
they can watch Search.

SEARCHOF THE LORD’S WAY ®
CULBERTSON, MT “I had been introduced to ‘In Search of the Lord’s Way’ while on vacation from North Dakota to visit my parents in my native Texas. When we lived in Williston, ND, there was an active church and my children knew what it was to be in church 'every time the door was open' so to speak. Due to work we moved, ‘Search’ was broadcast in our area and for many, many months was the only ‘church’ my family had. We would gather around the TV and pray and listen to the lesson taught by Mack, have communion and possibly a discussion time with the kids and that was our church time. Our own nation needs the Lord in such a desperate way and there are precious few resources available to our brethren ‘up North.’ Thankfully we had ‘Search’ to help us and keep
to another, let’s all work harder to do our best, as your efforts have shown. We are so proud to be known as supporters to the work of the Lord there, as In Search of the Lord’s Way continues.”
PRUDENVILLE, MI “With many in our world drifting away from the words and messages in the Bible, we so appreciate your weekly gospel messages. We know your program reaches many and we want to help your weekly program to continue.”
STIGLER, OK “We travel around the country a lot. We are always looking for good solid congregations that we can worship with. You have helped us many times to find churches ‘on the road,’ that help us to stay true and faithful to our Creator and Sustainer. Thank you for all you do!”
AZLE, TX “I listen to your program most every Sunday morning at 7 am. I appreciate what you are doing. I thank God for your message of truth.”
us connected to the church so that we did not fall away when times were lean. That is to say, not only is it a tool for the lost, but in this case was a life preserver for the saved that live where the saved are few and a refuge is hard to find. Thanks for blessing those that are in obscure places with the gospel of Jesus Christ … Preach On!”
ENGLEWOOD, TN “My husband and I just finished watching the program this morning. It was an excellent message. Search is very dear to us as we can no longer get to church. Your sermons are so very special to us.”
ROSEVILLE, CA “We just want to thank you for all the work you have done through the years. Your blessings are all waiting to be enjoyed in God’s Kingdom some day. As we face one year changing
