• Get caught up in the ‘hype’

• Get caught up in the ‘wave’

• Without understanding it’s underlining essence


But I guess this is what makes it a trend right? …


One of the hallmarks of a popular trend or industry is that

it’s ‘cool’…


The tech industry is certainly no exception


How cool is it to be able to say,

“Download my app”?



While this is Uber-Cool…

•I have a problem with it

•Being cool is not a good enough reason to develop an app

•It can require a large investment to develop an app and to do it just to be ‘cool’ is not worth it.


So What Do I Suggest?…

•What should be the underlining purpose of developing an app?

•You need to ask you app idea this very important question…

“How would you benefit my (target)

customers?”


If your app idea can answer this question convincingly, then you app has a better chance for success.
