#5—Blending Courses: Success with Just-In-Time Remediation

How are you placing and helping under-prepared students or those slightly missing the cutoff on entrance exams? Learn one way Grayson College is servicing these students with blended courses. Students achieve college credit while being assisted with just-in-time supplemental instruction.

Lunch is served in the WCWC Cafeteria beginning at 11:30am. General Session II begins at 12:00pm in the adjoining WCWC Lecture Hall.

#7—Raising the Bar for Dual Credit Students

Dual credit students may arrive under prepared for the demands required of a college writing course. This presentation identifies potential preparation misalignments and demonstrates techniques instructors can use to raise the bar for dual credit students in the writing classroom.
#8—The Journey on Pathways to Academic Student Success

This session presents the intervention process for students on probation, Pathways to Academic Student Success (PASS), which TCC South Campus Advising and Counseling Center has created in an effort to prevent further academic decline. This session details the conception, rationale, PASS process, and statistical outcomes, and presenters will lead participants through case studies.
#9—History, Humanities, and Philosophy: Rethinking Meaningful Assessment
